Progress Report
My own data, along with independent confirmations from researchers in the field, indicate that I am aging at the targeted rate. If all goes according to plan, I'm right on schedule to turn 100 exactly 67 years from today. Please consult the chart for details.

Hey, I just wanted you to know that I've cited your findings regarding "Age vs. Year in Relation to the Differential Between Birth Year and Current Date" in my study on the statistics of death (commonly described as the I Will Never Die Theory).
My further studies on the topic projects my findings on the present statistics indicate that one who has just turned 33 years-of-age has exactly the same "survival curve" as a 27 year-old. Even more exciting, the "survival curve" can be projected beyond 100 years-of-age and produce the same results, though supporting data at that age bracket is much more limited.
Basically, I just wanted you to know that on the day after your birthday my research suggests that you have the same chances of not ever dying today as you will in 67 years.
Every day you live supports my findings.
Thank you for living.
Posted by: Travis at January 9, 2008 9:53 AMHappy Birthday! Sorry I'm late saying it. Monday and Tuesday were the first days of the semester, and I was swamped!
Speaking of age, I started teaching today and I was thinking of how old I was. For one thing, I am amazed when I realize that many of my stories I tell in class are over a decade old! In a few cases the stories are almost as old as the students themselves. I was also telling my students to avoid slang and colloquialisms in their papers, and I was slightly embarrassed when I realized I did not have a contemporary example to give them.
You're old... but at least not quite as old as me. Hope you had a great birthday!
Posted by: shane at January 9, 2008 2:31 PMHeck, man. That is swell it is your birthday and all. You have always seemed like a hep cat. For a square, anyway. You are all older than I am, of course, because I decided to stop aging when I reached twenty-five. It has worked out well.
