From the "I'm from the government, and I'm here to feed your kids rat poison" files. It's not a new story; why hadn't I heard of it before?
OK. Fine. I'm done being polite. It's not really fair. There are probably more than a few mistakes in it. But it just feels good to vent. Even when it's someone else doing the venting. Fuck the south.
Go watch Eminem's "Mosh" video. It's the most daring political statement to come out of this election year.
Fun with flash news alert: neocons are dangerous.
My friend Gaia on being a citizen of the world.
Tee hee. An ASCII war. I wonder if the LOLcity is red or blue?
Posted by mike, November 19, 2004 9:23 AMI've been listening to that Mosh song and you know what? I like it and I think the video is great and I'm very happy that an artist is actually releasing a politically challenging song that people are listening to, but compared to his other songs I don't think, beyond the message, that it can compare with his other material. Just a thought, and it took me four or five listens to come to that conclusion so it's not like it's a bad song. I definitely didn't hate listening to it a few times in a row. Maybe I'm just being a killjoy. I hope not.
Posted by: Shawn at November 22, 2004 2:51 PMThe song is ok. I listened to it without the video, and it's not as good. I guess that's what videos are for. It's more the statement made by the song and the video together that makes it great. What would Duran Duran have been without them? Not that Eminem is anything like Duran Duran. (Now Eminem is going to beat the shit out of me for comparing him to Duran Duran.)
Posted by: mike at November 22, 2004 7:01 PMOh, dude, you are so dead. Eminem is going to rip your spine out. Anyway, Duran Duran without their videos is like Madonna without her tits.
